Zena
Zena is a grey 14.3hh mare who was born c2016. She joined the stables in February 2021. She is fitting in well with the other horses and is currently on the paddock with Champagne, who has accepted her very quickly. Zena is forward-going and has lovely conformation and movement. She has a kind nature.
Dahab
Dahab is a 13.3hh liver chestnut mare who was born c2016. She joined the stables in February 2021. She is quiet and safe for beginners and novice riders and she also enjoys being ridden by experienced riders. She looks as if she could have some Indian blood.
Sherifa
Sherifa is a 15.3hh liver chestnut mare who was born c 2012. She joined the stables in 2018. Sherifa has wonderful conformation and movement and is forward-going. She is well suited to more experienced riders. She has a lovely temperament and is very gentle. She always comes over in the paddock to say hello and to see what is going on and get a cuddle. She is the second lead mare in the herd and her best friends are Champagne and Aziza.
Alama
Alama is a 14.3hh chestnut mare who was born c 2015. She joined the stables in 2020. Alama is well behaved in every way. She is a forward-going, calm horse who can be ridden by beginners or experienced riders and she is not fazed by anything. Her best friend is Aziza.
Aziza
Aziza is a 14.2hh chestnut mare with white markings who was born at the stables in 2016. She is a real character and quite a poser. She is beautiful (like all our horses) and she knows it. She has beautiful conformation and movement and clearly a lot of Arab blood and she is suitable for more experienced riders. She always comes over in the paddock to see what is going on and to show you how beautiful she is.
Rhanda
Rhanda is a 13.2hh strawberry roan mare and is one of our eldest residents. She has many years’ experience of carrying all kinds of riders. She is excellent with small children and beginners, but she is also good with more
experienced riders. She has had several foals over her years at the stables. She is out with the herd on the paddock but she also enjoys her own company. She is a friendly and gentle horse.
Bahiya (Privately Owned)
Bahiya is a 15.1 chestnut mare with flaxen mane and tail. ‘Bahiya’ means Beauty, which says it all. Bahiya was born c2009 and came to the stables c2014. Bahiya’s current owner fell in love with her and bought her from the stables. Before joining the stables she had been trained as a “dancing horse” and probably mistreated so she was quite angry and aggressive when she first came to us. Her current owner finds this very difficult to believe as she is the quietest and most gentle horse who has perfect manners and is really intelligent and responsive when being ridden. She is a genuine school mistress and we use her with novice and experienced riders and to help settle young or less experienced horses when they arrive at the stables. She is best friend with Adham and is the lead mare in the herd. She also likes her own company and is happy standing sleeping in the paddock.
